The University of California San Francisco Depression Center is located in the Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute which is a freestanding psychiatric hospital within the UCSF Medical Center. The UCSF Depression Center draws from a diverse faculty including psychiatry, medicine, nursing and pharmacy. Faculty research efforts span a broad range from neurobiology and genetics to depression-specific psychotherapies.
