The National Network of Depression Centers (NNDC), www.nndc.org, is now accepting applications for Center of Excellence membership. The NNDC is a network of leading depression centers and academic medical centers that have come together to improve the quality, effectiveness and availability of depression illness diagnosis, treatment, and prevention so people can live better lives. The deadline for application is March 15, 2011. A second request for applications will be issued later this year with a deadline of September 15, 2011.
The NNDC has undertaken gradual growth in order to allow the most efficient and effective integration of new members. At any given time, decisions regarding new members may be driven by existing network needs, such as geographic distribution, areas of expertise, timely interdisciplinary partnerships, and others identified by the NNDC leadership and the Center Membership Committee.
